Relay for Life

Tonight I had the opportunity to go with my family to our local Relay for Life. It was a very enjoyable evening with friends and music. The weather was beautiful. We were blessed with sunshine and a nice breeze to keep all of the bugs away.

It is my hope that all of you will do something in your community to show your support for others that may not be as fortunate as you are. Because you never know...one day it could be you or one of your family members going through the exact same things as the people you are supporting. How would you feel if no one showed up?

Cancer...

It is a tough battle but Relay for Life (as with many other events), helps to show that you can overcome the challenges of everyday life.

It was really inspiring to know that there are so many people out there that have had to overcome battles larger than anything that most of us have had to face. It was really neat to see such a large group of survivors at this event.

I hope that these survivors are an inspiration to all of us!

First Post!

Well here it is...this is the first post of my first ever blog. All I can say is it feels good to have a place that will allow me to showcase some of my most current work with everyone. It is also going to be fun sharing a little piece of my life with the world.

Let me first introduce my self...

My name is Tony and I own and operate TD Photography in Coralville, Iowa. Coralville is located directly to the west of Iowa City. Iowa City is home to the University of Iowa (The Iowa Hawkeyes). It is a great little city (OK...it is large for Iowa). With this area housing a large university, there is always something going on. Which is wonderful if you are like myself...looking for fun activities to do with the family.

On the business side of things...
I have been shooting for almost ten years and working professionally for the past two and a half years. So as you can see, I have a lot of experience behind the camera. I also have a strong background in printing and design. It also seems like all of my jobs have been customer service related...even if that was not my title.

I also really enjoy working and being around people. I find it interesting to talk with all types of individuals and learn a little bit about them. It is also very helpful in getting people to relax while they are in front of the camera.

On the personal side...
I have lived in Iowa all of my life. I was raised in Cedar Falls and attended ISU. It was while I was attending ISU that I met my wonderful wife Melinda. This July 26th we will be celebrating our 10 year anniversary. (It is hard to believe that it has been that long.) in 2005 our family grew, with the addition of Taylor (born November 16th). She has definitely captured out hearts forever. Not to mention the new prospective that she has given us on life in general. It has been a very interesting 18 months so far and I can't even imaging what the next several years are going to bring. It is hard to believe that our little baby has grown up so quickly. One thing is for sure, watching her grow up has helped me appreciate the little things in life. I never knew how much I was missing, until Taylor started to explore her new world that she lives in.

I hope that you will tell your family and friends about this site and come back often. As I will be sharing photos and more insights on a regular basis.
